Follow Your Dreams!

One day when Tyler and I were hiking, we talked about how cool it would be to have a career in rock hunting and how we could go rock hunting everyday. That sparked a discussion and numerous ideas. Why couldn’t we do this for a living? We talked the entire way home, brainstormed, and developed a plan for ourselves. When we got home we put our ideas on paper. While talking in our kitchen, I saw that old whiteboard with the same message written for the past three years. We set a date for when we wanted our website to launch and got to work. Since that day in the woods, we have worked tirelessly every single day to get this business going. We did not know the amount of work it would take, especially with a one year old to take care of and regular 8 to 5 jobs. We have spent countless nights up until wee hours of the night, working on the website content, learning how to code our website, organizing an online shop, creating a filing system at home, weighing and measuring every rock, cutting and polishing every rock, photographing every rock, filing business name paperwork, completing tax forms, creating a logo, creating business cards, the list can go on and on. As we near the pre launch date of our website (8/31)  I am very pleased to say that we are nearing the end of our work; to get this business started at least! We have successfully created our own website, written all of the content for it, photographed everything featured, and are ready to roll out our online shop. I am happy to share with you all the beautiful rocks we have found and cannot wait to mail you, your forever piece! The website will also feature a gallery to view rare and spectacular pieces we have bought, as well as pieces we found that are not for sale. I will keep you all updated with our social media and website information upon the official launch to the public on 9/14!
